This is a brilliantly made series But is a fantasy and a terrible
influence because it is often about vengeance... the Quran says:
verse 16:26 If you take revenge, then do so only in proportion to the wrong done to you. But if you bear it patiently, that is indeed best for those who are patient. Prophet Muhammad consistently chose forgiveness over retaliation. His behaviour is the best example of forgiveness and compassion. Also Ibn Arabi died when Ertugrul was young and was never known to be there at that time ... so the author has used the life of a Sufi Perfect Master to tell his or her fantasy..‘Nothing is known with certainty about Ertuğrul's life, other than that he was the father of Osman; historians are thus forced to rely upon stories written about him by the Ottomans more than a century later, which are of questionable accuracy.’ Wikipedia
